An eclectic Chicago lifestyle, media driven, magazine format website curated by Executive Producer Reno Lovison showcasing multicultural and age diverse people, art, music, theater, and events.
We strive to give a voice and added exposure to those who are not always in a position to get the attention of larger media outlets, perhaps because they are emerging personalities or because their message is directed to a niche audience.
Many posts contain original audio and video content produced by our clients or friends as well as content we have found in various other locations around the web.
Though our content producers give their opinion this is not intended to be a review website.
The idea of a curated experience is to see the collection through the eyes of the curator. We want to share what we do in Chicago and what we think might be of interest to you as a resident or visitor.
Overall this is a “News-free” and “Sports-free” zone. We do not specifically cover news and sports because there are outlets that are in a better position to do that more efficiently and more effectively. Also news and sports have a greater sense of urgency and timeliness. We hope to provide information that is more “evergreen” and can be enjoyed over a greater period of time. Some exceptions might be events and performance or art related stories.
Generally, we focus more on lifestyle, culture, history, and local business that reflects our Chicago community.
Because there is so much going on within the city limits we generally stay within the confines of the city and not try to cover all of Chicagoland except when we feel it is of particular interest.
We expect our demographic to be Chicagoans, visitors to Chicago, Chicagophiles, and expat Chicagoans who want to get a sense of what is going on culturally outside The Loop and outside what is being promoted by the Visitors Bureau or deep pocket advertisers.
Consider this website to be our hub, but we are a “Network” providing content across several platforms.
You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. You can find our original podcast episodes at Pod-o-matic.com, iTunes, GooglePlay, and Spotify. Please SUBSCRIBE and FOLLOW.
We periodically provide video content as appropriate to Chicago Cable Television on CANTV Channels 19, 21 and Chicago Cable 25. Ultimately our goal is to have an established Digital Channel that can be watched on Roku and other smart TV options. For now, you can watch our unique programming on our Youtube Channel using your Youtube smart tv app or web browser (just search ChicagoBroadcastingNetwork at Youtube.com)
We are open to sharing our content and using content submitted by others. If you want to incorporate any of our original content (such as our theater reviews) into your podcasts or other programs or if you have content that fits our criteria please contact us.
