Retro on Roscoe Festival Chicago 2019
Listen to our podcast coverage of the Retro on Roscoe Festival a three-day street fair taking place in Roscoe Village between Western and Damen.
There are all kinds of things to do in the summer in Chicago and these neighborhood fests can be a lot of fun especially when the weather cooperates, and this weekend was three of the most pleasant days we have had in recent months.
This festival featured a retro vibe with vintage classic muscle cars and classic rock from “Brown Sugar” and “The Jersey Girls.”
In addition, we sampled some of the more unusual festival food we have encountered including coconut encrusted deep-fried avocado, and mozzarella stuffed cornmeal johnnycakes.
Thanks to yasso for the free frozen Greek yogurt dessert and to Steve Solomon for the use of Foster Avenue Beach as our theme song.
